Thor

Thor is HONT's yellow flight and is often symbolized by mountains as well as by Yggdrasil, a sacred tree in Norse mythology associated with life, growth and strength. Thor's leader is Epic.

Thor is a strong, powerful flight. Close to each other and dedicated to their flight, thors are fast, quick-witted and imposing opponents, but they are also friendly and helpful teammates.

Flight history

Thor is one of the original four flights. Notable racers in this flight (past or present) includes: 3clipse, Epic, Hotchetoman, v4nowlol, Flashyio, Hyperion, ChoppaChad, Tropic and others.

Thor, the winner of Hammer Cup II, entered Hammer Cup III with favorable odds to repeat their success. However, the third edition of this legendary tournament did not unfold as expected, and Thor was eliminated in the qualifiers. Despite Flashyio's recent activity and consistency, he was not able to provide sufficient support to the flight leader, 3clipse. ChoppaChad, Tropic and Supersonic offered solid performances but this was definitely not enough to change the outcome.

At the conclusion of Hammer Cup III, flights were reorganized. Epic became the new leader of the flight while 3clipse left to become the new Forge's leader.

Name, logo and symbolism

DMPenguinnitrotype on discord suggested to name one of our flight Thor. It's a pretty good name, one which is directly related to a very powerful hammer! Fun fact, when I created the flights I planned to place myself in the yellow one because I always loved this color. But for some reason that I can't even explain, I put myself in Maul instead and forgot about our flights for a few days (our permanent flights were not really used at the time since no one understood where the heck I was going with this stuff).

Thor logo was changed on April 16th 2024. The new logo shows Yggdrasil, the "World Tree", a powerful symbol of life, growth, and the interconnectedness of all things in Norse mythology.
