Smite

Smite is HONT's purple flight and its leader is Blaze. It is often associated with the theme of space.

Come to Smite and get smitten with its charm! Smites are very welcoming and they value community above all else. However, don't let that fool you because their performance on the race track is absolutely breathtaking, making them one of the most intimidating flights.

Flight history

Smite was created after the initial Hammer Cup. The primary reason to open a new flight was to have as many officers as possible in charge of a flight. Co-captain Blaze was thus put in charge of the Purple flight. Notable racers in Smite (past or present) includes: Blaze, Brave, Godlovesusall, Epic, Believer, NatashaM, Grandson and others.

During Hammer Cup III, there were active talks regarding the possibility of opening a new flight and filling it with a few Smite members, since the purple flight was exceptionally strong at the time. These talks materialized on April 16th 2024, with the opening of Sledge. Brave and Believer were put in charge of the orange flight. This considerably weakened Smite, leaving only Blaze and godlovesusall as power racers. Epic also left the purple flight to become the leader of Thor.

Name, logo and symbolism

The name Smite was found later. At first, the unused flights had some horrible sounding names like "Thwomp" and "Whack" 🤣. I had run out of ideas. But then the word Smite popped in my head and I immediately told myself okay we need to name one of our flight "Smite". I associated the flight with the purple color because... well because purple is an amazing color. I don't remember the words that Vytrail and I told to the AI to get this image but it was an instant success. It is minimalist and clean looking and the color is gorgeous.
