Introduction

The Hammer Cup is one of the most fun and exciting event we have in HONT. It is a 5-days tournament that is held at the start of every Nitro Type season. In this tournament, flights compete against each other trying to win the Hammer Cup trophy.

The Hammer Cup was established in November 2023 and Claw is the flight that won the first edition of the tournament.

Tournament Format

The format may change from season to season but it generally starts with a round of qualifiers in which only the top 4 teams advance.

The four flights that advance will face each other in the semifinals. The flight that got the top spot in the qualifiers will face the flight that finished in 4th position, while flight #2 will face flight #3. Semifinals last 2 days.

Semifinals will produce two winners that will face each other in the finals. The winner of this ultimate duel is crowned the champion of the Hammer Cup. The finals last a single day (friday).

Since Hammer Cup II, all rounds of the tournament are endurance based, meaning that flights are ranked by their number of races (Hammer Cup I used points for semifinals and finals)
